MAKE Santa Fe Covid Response

Back in March and April 2020, GreenGate3D, thru its sister company, Universal Composites, and their associates at Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, donated 67,000 clear sheets of PET, which was upcycled into face shields by numerous makers.  These sheets went out to 23 States and the island of Puerto Rico.  MAKE Santa Fe was one of those maker spaces.  They converted 2,000 of these clear sheets into face shields.  This video offers you a glimpse into the production and delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by staff, members, and community volunteers at MAKE Santa Fe.

Thru MAKE Santa Fe, these 2,000 sheets went to the following organizations:

  • City of Santa Fe Emergency Management Office
  • University of New Mexico who sent to:
  • Tuba City Regional Healthcare Center
  • Chinle Comprehensive Healthcare
  • Kayenta Hospital
  • Northern Navajo in Shiprock
  • Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC)
  • Miyamura overflow hospital in Gallup jointly developed by Rehoboth Health Care Services, GIMC, and State of New Mexico
  • Zuni Comprehensive Health Center (not Navajo, but separate reservation for the Zuni people)
